As a graphic designer I had many opportunities to work with businesses and organizations to promote specific events, issue regular publications, and create other items like books and brochures. I have included some of my work below (click them to see larger versions), and my reports in the planning section also demonstrate my abilities.
While in my masters program at UIC, I was employed by the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy as their Marketing Assistant. Working with passionate researchers and administrators to promote social justice was wonderful. I was their webmaster, and also designed everything from as small as their tenth anniversary logo to as large as their banner. Here are a few examples:

While employed by WebTrax Studio, I collaborated on a book for UN Cares, which is a branch of the United Nations that deals with HIV/AIDS awareness. My responsibility was to gather and lay out all of the book's components. I worked with editors, translators (the book was laid out in all of the UN's official languages - I worked on the English, Spanish, and French versions) and an illustrator, as well as with other administrators. My colleagues were located as far away as Switzerland.
